there we are. There. | Good Women Dance Collective (Edmonton)

You may not be able to tell exactly what it is…something is emerging.

there we are. There. is a premier duet created by Alison Kause and Alida Kendell. Absurdity and intimacy are explored as the two inhabit their world in ways that are recognizable yet slightly off kilter. They talk straight and sit crooked. They are in between, unraveling, navigating and arriving.

It was gorgeous […]. You're a beating heart on stage, nothing at all held back. - Audience member, light in the rafters

“The honed and intensely expressive Ballet BC alumna seems to channel whatever streams of emotion (visual artist) Kerr taps in his highly gestural painting. At times her body arches like curved brush strokes, or turns like a shifting idea; at others her feet step manically on the floor, a bit like an outpouring of mark-making.” - Create a Stir, Janet Smith

You may not be able to tell exactly what it is…something is emerging.

Absurdity, intimacy and existence are explored by two entities who never leave each other’s side.

Together they inhabit their world in ways that are recognizable yet slightly off kilter.

They talk straight and sit crooked. They are in between, unravelling, navigating and arriving.
